How the calculator works
- For each day: end minus start minus break. If the end is before the start, the calculator counts across midnight.
- All days together are your hours worked this week.
- Hours worked minus contract hours is your plus or minus.
Example
5 × 8:30 − 40:00 = +2:30
Five days from 8:00 to 17:00 with a 30 minute break are 8:30 hours each, 42:30 in total. With 40 contract hours that leaves +2:30 plus.
Public holiday, leave or sick this week? Then take those days off your contract hours, for example 32 hours instead of 40 with one public holiday.
